Shingle removal process at which time we will check for damaged deck wood that must be replaced and check current nailing pattern for applicable corrections. The older the home, the more likely that nailing pattern will acquire corrections. While having the roof deck exposed all reinforcement of structure in trusses will be made to prevent sagging or soft spots.

Application of Asphalt Felt #30 - primarily used as the base layer on sloped roofs. This particular step will be followed by most metal and ventilation applications. ( Galvanized Drip Metals, Flashing Metals, Plumbing Stacks,Vents, Skylights, Gas Pipes, etc.. ). This ply is installed using 1 1/4" ring shank nails applied with a Tin Cap spaced every (6) Six inches on the center using a minimum overlap of ( 4 ) Four inches. This felt will be applied directly over the wood deck.

Application of selected Shingle product. At this time all Eave Drip perimeter metal will acquire Modified Bull followed by a "Shingle Starter" course to prevent the Shingle Sleeve from obtaining lift. Shingle will than be installed using required nailing pattern using 1 1/4" ring shank nails.

Ventilation Options: Some Shingle ventilation methods will be installed during this process to provide effective attic ventilation. Cobra Ridge Vent is installed by notching an aprxt. 4" on the ridge section. Shingle Ridge Vents can come in either a roll or in hard plastic format.

Completion: The roof is now ready for showing off. With propper care and optional preventive maintenace planning your roof will not only keep water out but also keep your roof looking like it should.
